TS DSC/ TRT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of the TS TRT Recruitment 2024 in terms of nationality, age and educational qualification will be released along with DSC Notification. The expected eligibility criteria have been discussed below.

TS DSC Nationality and Domicile
The candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
The candidate should belong to the state of Telangana and should satisfy Local / Non-Local status requirements.
TS DSC Educational Qualification
The candidates must hold the minimum education qualification required for School Assistants (SA), Language Pandits (LP), Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT), and Physical Education Teachers posts and the same has been tabulated below.

School Assistant Must possess a Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Mathematics/ Physical Science/Biological Science/ Social Studies/ English/ Telugu/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Kannada/ Tamil/ Marathi/ Sanskrit/ Physical Education (or its allied subjects as given in the Annexure to this G.O.) from a University recognised by UGC with 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation (In case of SC / ST / BC / Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%) and Pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) / Special Education in B.Ed. course with Mathematics as a Methodology subject from any institution recognized by NCTE.
Language Pandit Must possess Graduation with Telugu / Hindi / Urdu / Kannada / Oriya / Tamil / Sanskrit as one of the Optional / Graduation in Literature in Telugu / Bachelor’s Degree in Oriental Language (BOL) in Telugu / Post Graduation Degree in Telugu from a University recognised by UGC with at least 50% (In case of SC / ST / BC / Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%) and Pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) / Special Education in B.Ed course with Telugu as a Methodology subject or Language Pandit Training in Telugu from any institution recognised by NCTE.

Physical Education Teacher Must possess an Intermediate (or its equivalent) recognised by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana with a minimum of 50% marks and a certificate / Graduate Diploma in Physical Education / Diploma in Physical Education from an institution recognised by the NCTE.

Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) Must Possess Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) as recognized by the Board of Intermediate, Telangana with at least 50% Marks (In case of SC / ST / BC / Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%), and Pass in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / Special Education in D.Ed / 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education.

TS DSC 2024 Selection Process

The selection criteria for Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT), School Assistants, Language Pandits, Physical Education Teacher posts as mentioned in the TS DSC Notification includes 3 stages. The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the following stages-

The duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes (180 minutes).
